The joint exhibition of Relox and Paul Simon brings together two artistic positions that share a common language in black and white. Reduction is not understood as loss, but as concentration — on the moment, on the trace, on what remains on the surface of the city.

Paul Simon’s photographic work revolves around graffiti-marked urban spaces. His images linger in the present: the shutter does not conclude an action, it marks a transition. Scratches, walls, textures and overwritten signs become visual resonance fields where perception, memory and the immediate now intersect.

Relox expands this space through typography as an autonomous artistic gesture rooted in graffiti. Letters are not meant to be read, but experienced. They function as rhythm, structure and resistance at once, oscillating between control and dissolution, between set form and free interpretation.

Both artists leave meaning open to the viewer. Nothing is dictated; significance emerges through looking. Photography and typographic graffiti thus become equal media in a dialogue that resists a single reading — and finds its freedom precisely there.

This exhibition invites a pause: between image and letter, impulse and reflection, black and white.
